I am writing to request improvements in the categorization and scheduling functionalities of our current service management system, which is currently presenting several challenges in managing seasonal services.
At present, it is not possible for a single service to belong to two different categories simultaneously. In my case, I use categories to distinguish between winter-autumn services and summer services. Even though the service remains the same, the timings differ between summer and winter, and using 'special days' does not allow me to set schedules by specific days of the week (e.g., Monday, Tuesday, etc.).
As a result, services that run throughout the year need to be duplicated to appear in different categories. This creates a significant issue: when a client selects such a service, they can only see the availability within the defined date range for either summer or winter. Once that period ends, the system automatically shifts the service availability to the next year. For example, if the current summer service is fully booked, the next available date shown to the client is the summer of the next year, even though the service is available during winter.
I attempted to not classify the service into any category, but in doing so, it does not appear in the categories unless the user clicks "View ALL". Given that I have duplicated categories, this results in a confusing user experience with duplicated services displayed.
One straightforward solution would be to allow a service to be displayed in two categories. This would eliminate the need to duplicate services to cover both summer and winter, thereby ensuring correct availability throughout the year.
Alternatively, the best solution would be to enhance the "Special Days" functionality to allow date ranges with full day-of-week options (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.). This would provide flexibility in managing seasonal schedules without the need for duplicating services.
I believe these enhancements will significantly improve both the management and the user experience of our services. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response on how we can implement these changes.
Thank you for considering my suggestions and for your cooperation.
