Customer Profile Chaos: Duplicate Profiles Created for Users with Same Email Address

When a user with the same email address creates another appointment, another customer profile with the same email address is made for that person. This is absolutely infuriating! It's causing unnecessary duplication and confusion in the system. Why can't the system recognize that it's the same user and simply add the appointment to their existing profile?
