Subject: Feature Request: Custom Notifications and Trigger for New Customers
Dear Bookingpress Development Team,
I would like to propose a new feature to enhance the Bookingpress plugin, particularly for handling new customer registrations. The goal is to allow sending additional notifications and to include exclusive content in existing notifications that are only shown to new customers.
Proposed Features:
Custom Notification Trigger for New Customers:
Introduce a trigger or event that fires when a new customer is registered.
This event would enable the dispatch of a custom notification, which can be used to inform new customers about subsequent processes.
Conditional Content in Existing Notifications:
Allow the insertion of conditional content within standard notifications that is only displayed to new customers.
This content can outline the processes that occur immediately after registration, such as automatic WordPress account creation and Mailchimp opt-in email dispatch.
Use Case and Benefits:
Streamlined Onboarding: For new customers, a WordPress account is automatically created and their details are sent to Mailchimp, which triggers an opt-in email. By informing customers in advance about these actions, we can improve clarity and reduce confusion.
Enhanced Communication: The custom notification can provide details on what emails to expect, how to proceed, and the benefits of following through with the registration process (creating a password).
Efficient Data Collection: In addition to the above, this trigger would allow us to send a custom intake form to new customers, ensuring we collect necessary information after the appointment is made rather than during the booking process.
We believe that these enhancements will not only improve the customer experience but also streamline the onboarding process, ensuring clear and effective communication right from the start.
