Add consent option for bookingpress to allow us ask the customer for consent to send them email and/or SMS reminders? (And marketing ex. MailChimp plugin)
The kind of question that is already asked at the time of booking an appointment/registering ex. "accept terms & rules" and which can be changed later by the customer from their own profile or on behalf of the administrators/staff.

Pretty sure this can be accomplished with custom fields in the Customize section, maybe not a year ago however?

Thanks for the suggestion regarding custom fields, and I appreciate you linking to the documentation. I did look into that previously.
While custom fields are useful for collecting general information, they don't quite achieve the specific functionality needed for explicit consent for email and SMS marketing/reminders.
My main concerns are:
Integration with Mailchimp/Twilio: A standard custom field doesn't automatically translate into an opt-in/opt-out status that directly controls whether the Mailchimp or Twilio SMS plugins send communications to that customer. We need a way for the consent given during booking to directly inform those services.
Customer Self-Service: We also need customers to be able to easily review and change their consent preferences from their profile after booking, which a basic custom field typically doesn't facilitate in a user-friendly way.
Legal Compliance: For GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, consent needs to be clear, unambiguous, and easily withdrawable. A dedicated consent mechanism would ensure this, rather than trying to repurpose a general data collection field.
