Currently, BookingPress does not allow Multi-Service and Multi-Staff to be active together on the same installation.
I understand why combining the two within the same booking could create conflicts, but I don't think the features need to be technically combined to allow both to be used.
The limitation could be handled at the booking UI/session level.
For example:
Multi-Staff service
A Mani-Pedi requires two staff members working simultaneously.
Once the customer selects this type of service, the booking enters Multi-Staff mode.
Additional services cannot be added.
Cart is disabled for this booking.
The customer completes the Multi-Staff booking normally.
Multi-Service booking
A customer wants a Manicure followed by a Pedicure.
The booking enters Multi-Service mode.
Multi-Staff services are hidden/disabled and cannot be added.
Cart is disabled for this booking.
The customer completes the sequential Multi-Service booking.
Normal services
Essentially, the rule would be:
Both Multi-Service and Multi-Staff can be enabled on the same installation, but each booking session has one booking mode.
This would allow businesses such as salons to use both features independently:
Multi-Staff → simultaneous services requiring multiple technicians
Multi-Service → multiple services performed sequentially
Normal booking → existing cart functionality
The system doesn't need to make Multi-Service and Multi-Staff compatible within the same appointment. It simply needs to prevent incompatible combinations through the booking UI.
This would make BookingPress significantly more flexible for salons and other service businesses that have different types of appointment structures.
