One feature I think would really benefit all of us is the ability for clients to provide a reason when canceling their appointment. Right now, there’s no built-in way to capture this info, and it leaves a big gap in understanding why cancellations are happening.
Here’s why this matters:
Improved insight: Knowing why clients cancel helps us spot trends (pricing, timing, service confusion, etc.) and make better business decisions.
Better scheduling: If the cancellation could be automated after the client enters their reason, the time slot would instantly reopen - letting someone else book right away instead of leaving a dead spot.
Reduced admin errors: At the moment, I’ve created a temporary workaround by sending clients to a custom landing page to enter their reason, then I manually go into BookingPress to cancel the appointment. This works, but it takes time, isn’t automated, and leaves room for human error.
If BookingPress added this feature, it would save time, reduce mistakes, and give us valuable data. I think this would be a big win for everyone using the platform.
