Ability to generate and save a random number during booking process (probably best to implement in a hidden custom field)

In the booking confirmation email, I want to send my customers a link with a random number that is specific to their booking.
Can you please add the functionality to create a (hidden) custom form field that is generating a random number and saving this number with the booking? I then also need to have this number available as a variable in the email function and the invoice plugin.
